Academy Conversion Consultation

Recently the Governing Body of Rivermead Primary School applied to the Department of Education (DfE) to allow the school to convert to an Academy. As an Academy the school can then become part of a strong multi-academy trust.

Our application has been approved, in principle, by the DfE and as a school we are now working with the Bellevue Place Education Trust (BPET), with a view to join the group in early 2023.

BPET are a multi-academy trust which currently has nine primary schools across London and Berkshire in its group, three are judged to be Outstanding and six rated Good by OfSTED.

Part of the Academy Conversion process, we duty bound to make all stakeholders* aware of this project and offer them the chance to respond with feedback to the specific question below:

‘Should Rivermead convert to an Academy?’
You can email your response to the question directly to the school via email: admin@rivermead.wokingham.sch.uk by Monday 12 December 2022. Please make the subject for your email “Rivermead Academy Conversion”.
